Two balloons taking off.
See the two dots above
the tree line? These two
hour balloon safaris cost
about $400 per person.
Ouch!

A pride of four
lions having a lazy
morning. This driver
doesn't get as close.

These lions must be
brothers as two large
males aren't usually
found in one pride.

This is my favorite
lion picture of them all!

Mary the rhino.
Her horn is made out
of solid keratin, the
same substance as
human toenails!

She looks pretty
determined. Rhinos have
terrible eyesight. So if
she gets confused, she'll
charge us -- so watch out!

What do rhinos eat?
Who are their enemies?
How do you tell the
difference between a
white and a black rhino?
(It's not the color.)
Check on "Animal Facts."

Off she goes!
Since she is the only
female in this pride,
she's got a lot of
hunting to do to keep
her two men well fed.

Jeff and the lion
pride. Watch out Jeff --
a lion’s jaw can easily
bite through muscle
and bone, often
leaving little more
than the head and spine
of their prey intact!

Two hippos fighting.
One of them must be
defending its territory.
Do you know an easy
way to tell the
difference between a
male and a female?
Check "Animal Facts."

Hippo butt!
They have such cute
faces but their
backsides need to
see a stairmaster!

There are at least
25 hippos in this part
of the Mara River.

Grey crowned cranes.
Many cultures associate
cranes with longevity
and fidelity. Pairs
stay together until
one dies. Awwww...

Something has caught
the attention of these
lions. An early morning
snack, perhaps?
