An olive baboon troop.
What do they eat? Who
are their enemies?
Check for the answers
on "Animal Facts."

Baboons are so hard to
photograph. Check under
Uganda's second set of
pictures under "Queen
Elizabeth Park" for
actually photographs
of them!

The sleeping lion.
He never woke up the
whole time we were
here. He must have
had a busy night!

Will a lion eat a
rodent? How do they
conduct a kill? Better
look at "Animal Facts!"

Crouching lion.
Another jeep is checking
him out. Our driver would
always get very close; as
close as he thought was
safe that is.

This is my third
favorite picture that
I took of a lion.

A lioness on the move
to hunt. It was so late
in the day that we
actually got to see one
out and about. Yeah!

She's looking at us
saying, "Well you don't
look good enough to eat!"

Jeff and the famous
poo-poo picture! You
can't even really tell
unless I've told you
the story!

Here come the hyenas.
Most of the time that we
saw hyenas, lions were
some where nearby.

I think hyenas are the
ugliest animals. It's their
sloped hindquarters and
that ugly scowl on their
faces that makes me not
like them. Yuck.

Do you know what
the first-born female cub
will try to do to the other
cubs born in a litter? It's
horrible -- better check
"Animal Facts!"

Hyenas are carnivores,
but they will also eat
dead, putrefying, or dry
flesh and even human
refuse. We have
unfortunately witnessed
some of this!
Double yuck!
