A beautiful steel domed
structure carved in a
traditional style stands
at the scene.

In 1969, Pope Paul VI
visited Uganda, the very
first Papal visit to
the African continent.
He made a pilgrimage
to this shrine.

A large painting
at the entrance of
the shrine tells
the story of the
Christian massacre.
