BHS Halls 2000

Teacher Pete Tryon was kind enough to give me a tour of Bartlett High School in August 2000. I happened to have my camera with me, and I took the following photographs of the halls of our school.

The school basically looks the same to me ... but strangely smaller than I remember! (Especially the library!) Pete explained that the halls are still called "purple hall," "blue hall," etc. but they are no longer painted the one color. By looking at the photos you can tell that they are now white with colored stripes on them. This has really brightened the halls up (which is why they did it). They also took the locker banks out as it caused congestion problems. The halls are now lined on both sides with lockers. Pete said they actually gained a few lockers when they did this. Some of the side coves have changed, especially on blue hall where the computer labs are located. The squares we made for the large quilts are still hanging in Main Place. I could never find the square I made. (I can't even remember what it looks like!) The gym and even the weight room still looks exactly the same. The biggest change, however, was the construction of the new pool. It's located as a separate building to the left of the gym. Enjoy the pictures!
