Anchorage resident David Vivian Prescod, 38, died Oct. 31, 2005, from a long battle with lung cancer at home.

Visitation and service will take place at noon Friday at Witzleben's Bragaw Chapel with burial at 1:30 p.m.

Mr. Prescod was born Nov. 19, 1966, in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. He moved to Anchorage during the winter of 1982.

Mr. Prescod worked for Alaska Custom Refinishing for 13 years.

He is survived by his father, Ormond Prescod of Anchorage; sisters, Dotsy Osborne of Denver and Diana Charles of St. Vincent; brother, Basil Prescod of Anchorage; nieces, Monique Hnatik of Anchorage, Mariska Wells of Denver and Tesfa Charles of St. Vincent; nephews, Orande, Jua and Ithamar Charles of St. Vincent; stepsons, Jamar and Quintan Rogers of Anchorage; aunt, Lilian McCloud of Florida; uncle, Thaddeaus Osborne of Hamilton Bequia; brother-in-law, Jua Charles; close friends, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wardrope, Donnelle Douglas and Valerie Rogers; and many other relatives and friends.

His family said, "David will be deeply missed by all who knew him."
