I cannot thank each and every one of you enough for your overwhelming kindness, love, and generosity. I am beyond touched. Quite frankly I am still truly floored.

I am so grateful that so many of you, like me had the pleasure of having Jeb enter your life at some point along this crazy journey we call life!

For those that did not know him...well he had a pretty amazing personality. He was kind, loving, and privately very sensitive with an amazing heart. He was a good man.

He was somehow one half soldier/leader, and the other half straight up Jim Morrison! Although his doppelganger is Black Flag's Henry Rollins. He had an ear for amazing music, and like me a sick sense of humor. He was incredibly smart and an amazing writer.

He also suffered from combat PTSD from his time serving in OIF & OEF. He expected the impossible for himself which perpetuated feelings of failure and shame. He was anything but that. I truly wish that he could have seen himself through my eyes. However, even up until days before his death he was adamant about completing his PhD dissertation - an auto ethnography on the many different ways of getting help and healing from PTSD. He said so many times that he wanted to evoke change so others would not suffer in ways he had. I wanted nothing more than to help him see this to fruition, so he too could heal and we could then grow old together. I have some peace knowing he is no longer in pain...the war is finally over. However....

For me it has just begun. Most of you all know my passion for PTSD awareness. I cannot let his death be in vain, and I am going to continue to fight, and advocate to evoke the change he (we both) wanted to see happen. I tell him everyday that I hope to make him proud.

The stigma of shame must stop.

I sincerely, from the bottom of my heart thank you all for the love, kindness and generosity you have shown me. I am blessed and grateful beyond words. I wish you all love and light!

With Love,
Sara
