BIOGRAPHY
(WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING SINCE HS?):
I will be in a documentary about powerlifting as the female novice. Due out in Fall of 2006, it's called "Power Unlimited".

Kinda hard to imagine little Karen 5"1' weighing 105 in high school now powerlifting! I hold seven California State records, and I just broke the American Squat record for my age and weight. At my last competition, I won two golds, and the honor of "Best Lifter". I won California State Championships for my weight and age.
Squat: 322 lbs hoping for 400 by September 2006.
Bench pressing: 155 lbs goal; 225 by September.
Deadlift off the floor: 275 lbs goal; Hoping to break the American record in May with 295 lbs and hoping for a 365 by September.
After high school I went to work on a cruise ship. I spent the next eight years traveling around to over 68 countries. My favorite would have to be Bali, Indonisia or Singapore for shopping! I met my husband on the last cruise ship, and we live in Northern California now. We own a GNC Store and a 24 hour gym: http://www.anytimefitnessgv.com.
My husband is British, and we have two children. A daughter Teal, born Feb 2000 and a son, Kaelin, born Dec 2002. I also run a women's boot camp at 5:30 in the morning. http://www.NCBootCamp.com.
