"THE SELL -- HIGHLIGHTS"
I combined descriptions that can be found on the web sites CruiseDiva.com and CruiseMates.com:

Carnival's ship designer, the renowned Joe Farcus, chose "Splendid Things" as the central theme for Splendor. Each of the rooms is dedicated to an event or idea that exemplifies the concept of "splendid", especially "splendiferous" things that people covet, such as jewels or precious metals like gold.

This "splendid things" theme begins in the eight level Atrium with rich materials mixed with stainless steel and stylized wood laminates for a striking effect. The celebration of all that is magnificent, lustrous, and elegant continues throughout all public spaces.

The area sure to dazzle is the incredible Splendido Lido Pool. Completely redesigned, the central pool deck is an open glass-walled two-decks-high area that can be totally covered by a retractable Sky Dome, making it the ship's largest "indoor" public room.

Carnival Splendor features three swimming pools, a children's "splash" water play area, and a 214-foot long twisting waterslide.

There are no whirlpools adjacent to the Splendido Lido Pool on Deck 9. Instead they are sensibly located on either side of Deck 10, shaded by the overhead cover and right alongside the outside rail for uninterrupted sea views.

Spa Carnival offers an expansive 21,000-square foot spa, a fully equipped gymnasium, including two saunas, and a beauty salon. Nearby non-smoking "spa accommodations" are a first for the line.

For sheer serenity, the spa's thalassotherapy pool is a haven "guarded" by Chinese Foo Dogs. The glass-domed thalassotherapy pool features jets of water to massage your body and a "special formulation of ocean water rich with trace elements of vitamins."

Day passes for the thermal sanctuary, which includes the therapy pool as well as the thermal suite and relaxation area are available.

Think a drive-in without a car! Carnival's Seaside Theatre is a 270 square foot, 12' x 22' screen. It utilizes the same technology featured in large stadiums and New York's Times Square, and it can be seen during both the day and evening hours. In addition to superior picture quality, the state-of-the-art entertainment system includes a 70,000-watt sound system, providing concert quality sound, even outdoors. You can view movies, concerts, news, sporting events, and other events while you lounge in the sun or under the stars.

The multi-tiered Spectacular Spectacular Show Lounge features fast-paced, high-spirited revues and production shows.

The hottest dance spot aboard is the Red Carpet Dance Club!

Robusto Cigar Bar, an inviting hideaway, has vast yet cozy seating spaces for after-dinner cigars and brandy accompanied by the hot sounds a cool jazz trio.

El Mojito Wine Bar has the cozy feel of a Havana sidewalk cafe with lanterns and Cuban posters on aged stucco walls and a terracotta floor.

Catch big sporting events on multiple TVs in Our House Sports Bar where there's always a game going on.

Book a table for dinner in The Pinnacle Steakhouse, Carnival Splendor's New York style, reservations-required supper club.

California Roll Sushi Bar, flanked by models of koi goldfish, serves freshly prepared sushi on tile surfaces made of natural mother of pearl shells.

Watch your weight with dining choices from the spa menu, featuring healthy selections low in calories, cholesterol, salt, and fat.

Coffee Cafe, the promenade patisserie, resembles a coffee warehouse with its bar-front "barrels" of coffee, tea, and sugar.

With more than 60% of her staterooms featuring ocean views, and 60% of those having private balconies, make yourself at home in one of the most generous standard cabins afloat 185 square feet. Each stateroom on Carnival Splendor has a flat screen tv.

Every guest on Carnival's Splendor enjoys the same service and attention. Nightly turndown service, complimentary room service, and a pizzeria that never closes are just a few of these features.

Keep in touch via e-mail in "The Web" Internet Cafe and take advantage of stem-to-stern Wi-Fi connectivity by bringing along your own laptop.

Carnival Splendor has an expansive Teen Dance Club and gaming center. Club 02 is the place for older teens to hang out and enjoy various activities.

Carnival Splendor boasts the first purpose-built "Circle C" club. Gaming pods, plasma screen TVs, a juke box, and dance floor set the scene for parties, movie nights, and other activities that appeal to the 12- to 14-year old 'tween set.
