MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Researching and selecting the facility.
- Making the menu/meal arrangements.
- Creating the budget.
- Making hotel reservations (blocking rooms).

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Make a List:
Figure out all the banquet facilities in Anchorage.
---- Look at the last five years where all the other classes (BHS, East, West, Service, Dimond, Chugiak, Eagle River) have held their banquets.
---- Ideas: Hotels; Museums; Country Clubs; Marinas; Mansions; Wineries; Aquariums.
---- Good sources: Chamber of Commerce; Yellow Pages; Local wedding directory or bridal magazine; Friends and family.

2. Phone Calls:
Using a list of questions the Chair has compiled for you, call all the facilities. Get packets sent to you and the Chair to review.

3. Tour Facilities:
Tour any facilities that you're interested in. Chair can fly up to Alaska to help make the final decision.

4. Menu/Meal Arrangements:
Figure out the menu or meal arrangements for each facility.

5. Hotel Arrangements:
If the banquet is to be held at a hotel, arrange to block rooms at a discounted room rate. Otherwise, rooms need to blocked at a hotel close to the banquet facilities for the out-of-town guests.
